Interdimensional Echoes Series No. IV

A glowing entity inside a shadowed circle, flanked by two tiny triangles that point viewers toward confident, decisive action.

One-paragraph description:

In Orienta Fiducia (Compass of Resolute Choice) a minimalist interdimensional being radiates warm orange‑yellow light from the heart of a dark circular field, while a small triangle above and below act as silent arrows guiding the gaze—and the mind—toward a single, assured direction.

The work’s pared‑down geometry and stark contrast invite viewers to shed hesitation and trust the quiet certainty embedded in its form.

Orienta Fiducia expands B. Josephson’s investigation into visual allegories of guidance and personal agency. Whereas earlier pieces in the Interdimensional Echoes Series conjure portals of weightlessness or flux, this painting deliberately strips the vocabulary down to three core elements: a darkened circle suggesting the unknown, a radiant orb that personifies intuitive knowledge, and two calibrated triangles that define a precise axis of forward movement. Together they function as a symbolic compass, proposing that true confidence emerges when light and shadow are held in symmetrical tension.

Technically, Josephson achieves this elegance through carefully layered acrylic glazes: an under‑painting of translucent cadmium yellow and hansa orange builds inner luminescence, capped by matte blacks that absorb ambient light and heighten contrast. The triangles are executed with a fine masking technique to ensure razor‑sharp edges, reinforcing the notion of unequivocal direction. A final matte varnish minimizing surface reflections, allowing the piece to maintain its quiet authority under varied lighting.

Orienta Fiducia offers a contemplative focal point within either minimalist or concept‑driven group shows. Its small physical footprint belies a strong psychological presence that engages viewers in a personal dialogue about decision‑making and self‑trust.] Maak hiervoor een korte LinkedIn Post in het Engels waarbij ik een korte video plaats over de ontwikkeling van het kunstwerk.
